Coy is scraping the deer skin of a deer that he killed on his first day of hunting.
Blacksmithing
Lately Coy and his brother Zac have been making knifes. The process is simple. They use a wood file for the blade. We use a bench grinder to grind down the blade to the right shape. After that we heat up the blade till it is red hot then drop it into oil (different oil's produce different results). Then we put the blade into the oven at 400 degrees for 2 hours or untill it's yellow. Then we put the handle (which we have already carved out) onto the blade and rivet it together. See below.
